As ASEAN hopes to take on a more significant role in the global supply chain by becoming more integrated into the Global Economy, the ratification of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) could help the bloc become a more dynamic player. In particular, the ASEAN Economic Community could see positive development by participating in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
