The Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) in partnership with the Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Asian Trade Centre (ATC) and supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) will be launching the ASEAN Prosperity Initiative (API) on 11th December 2018 in Singapore. IDEAS is a non-profit, independent research institute based in Malaysia, dedicated to promoting
solutions to public policy challenges.
The ASEAN Prosperity Initiative is IDEAS’ new project, designed to identify the major opportunities and challenges relating to ASEAN’s future prosperity. To launch the new Initiative, we will be hosting a public Seminar in Singapore on 11th December from 9.30am to 12.30pm, where we will publish two reports:
- Our ASEAN Economic Integration: Report Card, which attempts to measure performance against the ambitious targets set in the ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint 2025; and
- Our report on an ASEAN-EU Free Trade Agreement, which considers the potential and
pitfalls of a trade deal between these two regional blocs.
